Concept note
Sony DADC is a division of Sony focusing on digitization of content for entertainment .The project was designed for their head office at Turbhe, navi Mumbai . The design ideology of the this project was to dismantle the seriousness of a corporate structure and bring an environment of bonding , casualness albeit maintaining a fine line of discipline in the vocabulary. The panning clearly contributed to these principals with administration hierarchy being defined most subtly through open space allocations for mid manager levels, manger levels and rest of the team . Glass framed in black grids allow for the primary enclosed spaces to flow into the open central block . White washed exposed brick wall detailing , suspended pendant lighting carefully designed and detailed break the clichéd design approach to a corporate space . Framed movie art work collage on key walls is the only subtle nuance of movies and entertainment brought in through the design of the project.
